Join the PDTA, the only organisation within Australia that represents and unifies all dog trainers and supports dog owners.  The PDTA is a not-for-profit organisation (ABN 81718255771) without financial or political, self-interests. 

Our goal is to empower trainers and owners to live their best lives with their dogs.  We advocate for the proportionate and effective use of all recognised training aids and reward systems.

Unity for Dog Trainers

The PDTA serves as a necessary source of unity for dog trainers, providing them with an official representative body and a supportive community where they can receive assistance, acknowledgement, and backing.  One thing that distinguishes PDTA is our strong commitment to inclusivity. We don’t place any restrictions on our members or enforce particular techniques, approaches, or training tools. As passionate dog owners ourselves, we encourage each other to excel in our area of expertise and share our knowledge with those who require assistance.

  • Minimum 1-2 years of working in the industry.

If you have a passion for dog sports, animal welfare or breeding, then the Associate Membership is for you.  We encourage veterinarians, groomers, breeders, dog sports handlers, vet nurses and any industry professional to join as an Associate Member and become involved in promoting excellence in dog handling and training.
